Staff Product Designer, Time Tools

Gusto is looking for a Staff Product Designer for its Time Tools division to develop experiences that help small business owners and employees manage scheduling, time tracking, and PTO with confidence. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Own design end-to-end — from customer discovery through shipped, accessible experiences across web and mobile • Define frameworks for automation vs. human control in time-sensitive workflows • Design AI-integrated features including scheduling recommendations and compliance alerts • Balance long-term vision with near-term execution • Contribute to design systems and mentor peers WHO YOU ARE • 8+ years designing accessible, performant web and mobile experiences • Demonstrated expertise designing with AI as core product material • Experience designing complex, compliance-heavy workflows in SaaS or HR contexts • Ability to synthesize customer needs for small businesses and hourly workers • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
