Design Manager

Sword Health is looking for a Design Manager to lead the creation of conversion-focused experiences across acquisition channels while mentoring a design team. The company is building AI Care — a healthcare approach combining clinical expertise with AI technology. Note: This role requires an EU visa and Portugal residency. No relocation assistance is offered. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Drive design initiatives optimizing conversion across email, websites, landing pages, and onboarding flows • Balance brand storytelling with performance-driven design principles • Build cross-functional alignment across marketing, product, engineering, and data without direct authority • Manage and mentor designers while ensuring high-quality execution • Leverage A/B testing and analytics to refine user journeys • Advocate for user-centered design while meeting growth objectives WHO YOU ARE • 7+ years design experience; minimum 3+ years in growth or performance design • Proven leadership and team mentoring abilities • Strong cross-functional influence skills in matrixed environments • Expertise in visual and product design across multiple channels • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite • Understanding of A/B testing, CRO, and analytics tools • Demonstrates daily AI productivity use (Sword's Level 1 AI fluency)
