Life360 serves 95.8 million monthly active users across 180+ countries with location-sharing, Tile device tracking, pet GPS, and crash detection. They're seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead design for their Devices team — pioneering connected hardware experiences across Tile, Pet GPS, and future devices. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Direct end-to-end design across Tile, Pet GPS, and future devices — bridging physical and digital touchpoints • Own in-app setup, management, and engagement flows for device users • Create hardware-software interaction prototypes using AI-native tools • Develop scalable design frameworks reducing friction across device lifecycles • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Brand, Hardware, and Industrial Design teams • Mentor designers and champion design culture within the organization • Present insights influencing strategy at IC and executive levels WHO YOU ARE • 10+ years designing consumer mobile products — preferably hardware companions, IoT, or connected ecosystems • Experience designing across physical-digital boundaries with hardware constraint awareness • Proficiency in device lifecycle design — from unboxing through ongoing engagement • Strong portfolio demonstrating complex cross-platform solutions • Experience with AI-enhanced, location-aware, or sensor-driven products • Excellent cross-functional communication and storytelling skills Compensation: US $171,000–$252,000 | Canada $198,000–$233,000 + equity
