About

I'm a design leader who has done it from both sides: built products from zero as a founder, and shaped them at scale inside a major company. I turn sharp ideas and messy human insights into things that work in people's lives. I design across digital and physical worlds, shaping experiences that feel grounded and connected. I'm now focused on bringing that same range to a full-time Director role in consumer product, new ventures, or AI-native product. Why me: I'm a hands‑on, creative leader who connects the dots with curiosity and stays with the work as it moves from possibility to something real. What I've built: Gap - Led new store and online concepts for Old Navy across the country, including The Imagine Lab, which influenced 1,200+ stores and contributed to a 14% increase in net sales. Editr - Co-founded a venture-backed shopping platform that used AI to analyze mood boards so people could find and shop the aesthetic they loved, across 2,000+ brands Tablo - Co-founded a venture-backed platform that helped magazines like Vogue and Dwell turn print into a Pinterest-style space for discovery Sutter Health - Mapped the patient experience in a way that became the foundation for Scout, a digital tool supporting youth mental health Stanford d.school - Part of the founding team at one of the world's most influential design schools Recently: Advised an emerging fashion brand through its 0-to-1 launch. Advised Gumption, an AI home design startup. Building Little Cheer, a craft syrup brand, as a side project alongside my search. What I do for teams: Design partnership — Making sense of research and market signals, framing what's worth pursuing and why Design leadership — Orchestrating research, UX, and visual design into one coherent, defensible direction New ventures — Zero to one concepts, prototypes, early validation Service design — Journeys, systems, and connected touch-points across a full experience I'm most useful to teams ripe for reinvention or trying to bring something genuinely new to life. I have an MA in Curatorial Studies from Bard College, and currently serve as Managing Editor of The Quarterly Report, and am a studio/gallery liaison at Creative Growth. I build things with my family, roast small-batch coffee, collect contemporary art and vinyl. Staying close to craft keeps my work grounded in how people actually live. I’m looking for consulting and FT engagements in design partnership, experience direction, and new venture exploration
