About
I’m a visual storyteller and experienced interactive designer from the Bay Area who has witnessed and participated in the evolution of the technology industry that has transformed the world of design. I trace my technology design origins to both an award-winning 6th grade art project and to my upbringing in Palo Alto, near to Xerox Parc, SRI and Stanford University – acknowledged birthplaces of technology. It was this beginning, and this environment, that started my journey in interaction design. These early experiences inspired me to study graphic design at RISD, followed by positions with Animatrix, the first interactive design company, and later, Apple. My experiences with seminal technology industry companies – along with lessons learned through parenting, and a 2017 Masters Degree from CCA – impart my work with the appreciation for balancing the need to stabilize and innovate, and to find meaning in the work I create. I am confident that I can incorporate these principles into action and that I can impact positive change through design.
